What consulting firms are in Austin?

It depends on what kind of consulting you mean. For the big firms, the office list on each firm's own site is the one to trust. For small Austin practices, I can only vouch for my own. I'm a fractional COO and AI builder in Austin.

I'm not going to rattle off a list of famous names and say which ones have an Austin office. I'd be guessing, and offices open and close. If you're searching for a specific large firm, go to its website and look at its locations page. That page will tell you whether there's an Austin office and what the address is. Searching for the firm's name plus Austin office usually lands you there too.

Headquarters and office are different questions, and search results blur them. A firm can have a big Austin office and be headquartered somewhere else, or the other way around. The firm's own site is where it says which is which. The same goes for the mid-size and boutique firms. Check their about or contact page, because a third-party roundup may be out of date.

What I can tell you about is my own practice. It's a personal advisory firm. I do fractional operations leadership as an interim COO or CPO, and I build the AI systems and software myself. I'm based in Austin, in the Lakeway area, and I work remote-first with clients across the United States. I spent 19 years running operations at ChargePoint, where I did product ops and manufacturing from startup through IPO, then at Apple and at Hershey. I've also built more than a dozen production software products of my own.

I'm a one-person firm, and I intentionally run a small client roster so every engagement gets real attention. If you need a large team of analysts on site, I'm not the right fit, and I'll tell you straight.

One more thing, because the name causes mix-ups. I'm not The Wright Advisors, the HR and recruiting firm in Austin, and I'm not connected to it. I'm also not Wright Wealth Management or any wealth or financial advisory firm, and I'm not the Wright Advisors consulting firm in Dallas. If you're looking for operations help or an AI build, you've got the right one. If you were looking for one of the others, double-check the website address before you reach out.
